What’s the story?
Universal Candy started out in the 1980s as small family-owned business, Sweet Ring Imports, in Sydney’s northern suburbs with a few humble brands – but big dreams.
Fast forward 40 years and we’re still based in Sydney and we’re still family owned. But it’s fair to say we’ve grown a bit.
Today, Universal Candy is the #1 novelty confectionery business in Australia with a fun-filled range that includes household names like Trolli, Zappos, Warheads and Pez.
At last count, our iconic brands made up a whopping 80% of the entire novelty confectionery market in Australia. We’ve even started exporting to Asia!
Whilst plenty has changed over the years, we’ve always stayed true to our family values and independent roots. Our team has been together for many years now, and we continue to live and breathe all things confectionery.
We love what we do. We love our brands. But, above all, we love seeing the joy they bring to Australians, young and old, every day.
